At the Yards ("we," "us") operates the At the Yards platform and mobile app, which connects cattle sale barns with buyers for auction consignments and country listings. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, along with your password (stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider).
- Your listings and preferences. For sale-barn users, the consignment and listing details you enter. For buyers, the watchlist criteria you save so we can notify you of matching cattle.
- Device tokens. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can send you alerts when a new listing matches your watchlist.
- Usage and diagnostic data. Basic technical information such as log data and error reports needed to keep the service secure and working.
How we use information
- To provide the platform: authenticating your login, showing your listings, and matching buyers to relevant cattle.
- To send you service messages, including watchlist-match notifications by email and, if enabled, push notification.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
How information is shared
Listings you publish as a sale barn are visible to buyers on the platform. Beyond that, we share personal information only with service providers that operate the platform on our behalf — including our cloud database and authentication host and our transactional email provider — under agreements that require them to protect it. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Your choices
- You can turn push notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- You can update or delete your watchlists in the app.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us.
Children's privacy
At the Yards is a business tool intended for adults in the cattle industry and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
